The Altermodern Semionaut and the Artist/Designer

My dissertation title was The Altermodern Semionaut and the Artist/Designer.

To summ it up briefly then it's about; Bourriaud's Altermodernity, Bauman's Liquid Modernity, Semionauts, Authorship, Internet, some more Internet, Global Agenda on Internet, Liquid Indentity and the Artist Designer plus a wee bit of Stefan Sagmeister in the end. Check out the appendices for; More Internet, Identity & Response in Education.

It was handed in a few months ago and it's a big old beast however I've put it online should anyone have the desire to flick through it.

My third project is about the amazing Eastern German animal trainer Ursula.
She had a group of ten polar bears and travelled the world with her act.
It's an amazing story and I'm so happy to have stumbled upon it.

Needless to say that I got very carried away with my research...

I'm waiting for Zoos all over the world to reply to my letters regarding
the remaining polar bears retirements. One of them - Tosca is the mother of Knut.

However I already have so much information that I'm struggling to get it all in my final outcome.
I wish I had more time to work on this but something tells me I will keep working on this throughout the summer...

Here's a picture of my Flint Tool project in progress.
It measures around 2x3 meters and I've named it Moby Dick for now.

There's still lots to be done... Sigh...

Animals Documentaries on 4oD

I've complied a little top five of animal documentaries you can currently watch for free on 4oD.

1. Cat Dancers. It's amazing! I won't say too much as I might spoil it but all the lycra, glitter and hair transfixes me.

2. Special Needs Pets. Equally Amazing. Favorite bit is where Sue has to pull Katie and her wheelchair (pictured below) out of a bush.

3. My Monkey Baby.. Very disturbing, very entertaining and educational (I didn't know you could put lipstick on a monkey). Obviously it all going down in America.

4. Pussies Galore. There's a woman with 83 cats in this documentary. Enough said.

5. Head Over Heels in Rats. A couple obsessed with keeping rats. I like it when 'Kev' puts the rats on their backs and wiggle them and love the Yorkshire Rat Club.
